Having pre-diabetes I am finding is quite a challenge to meet the daily requirements to lose weight and keep what you are supposed to eat in check.
I see it is not an easy journey, so here are some ideas and my first tries at working out some plans to eat and stay with in the limits. The starred area is where I am at.. and I need to be in the first area. If any one has some menu ideas please share and I can enter them as well.
The recommended calories and fat grams daily are below.
Select the current weight you are on, and this will help you get your weight down.
120-170 1200 calories 33 fat grams
175-215 1500 calories 42 fat grams
220-245 1800 calories 50 fat grams
250-300 2000 calories 55 fat grams
The trouble I am seeing, is of course the Carbohydrates which convert to sugar... so as time goes on and I work out different plans it will become better! Whole Grains are stressed. Please note that the Carbs are figured out on a ratio, 15 gr will convert to 1 pt for a carb. Fats are 5 gram fat servings and 20% of my take would be 4 and 40% would be 8 fat grams daily.
